
PROMOTION OF DETECTIVE STEPHEN LEVORCHICK
TO CAPTAIN
The Administration of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce the promotion of Detective Stephen J. Levorchick to the position of Captain. In that capacity he will oversee the operations of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, reporting to Chief Deputy Randy R. Riedmaier.
Captain Levorchick is 42 years of age, and resides in Port Clinton. He has been employed by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office for 18 years. He started in the Uniform Road Patrol Division, was promoted to Supervisor/Sergeant of his shift, and then was appointed Criminal Investigator/Detective. Captain Levorchick has served in many different capacities, assisting the Administration in the Sheriff’s Office and also for the last 4 years has served as Commander of the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team.
Captain Levorchick will assume his duties on this date, February 15, 2005, and will continue to assist with the Detective Division during the transition period.
Sheriff Bratton congratulates Captain Levorchick on his appointment and looks forward to the positive professional changes forthcoming in the Administration.
On Tuesday, July 25, 2006, Sheriff Robert Bratton announced the appointment of a Corrections Administrator at the Ottawa County Sheriffs Office.
Donald R. Lochotzki, age 47, has been appointed Corrections Administrator and will be appointed to the rank of Lieutenant. His duties will be to oversee and be responsible for all aspects of the Corrections Division, including the Full Service Facility and the Misdemeanor Facility. The Fraternal Order of Police and the Sheriffs Administration worked out all issues together allowing Lieutenant Lochotzki to be promoted from within.
Lieutenant Lochotzki is a twenty-two year veteran in the Corrections Division of the Ottawa County Sheriffs Office, having served the last eighteen years at the rank of Sergeant. Prior to that he served with the Texas Department of Corrections and served three years in the United States Navy.
Sheriff Bratton said, 'Lieutenant Lochotzki has been an outstanding command officer. He has a direction to take the Corrections Division which should result in programs that will be a saving to the operation'.
