Deputy Muller Promoted to Patrol Division
On Monday, May 12, 2008 Sheriff Robert Bratton announced the promotion of Deputy James Muller to the Patrol Division. Deputy Muller will replace Deputy Joseph Sedlak who retired on March 31, 2008 after 39 years in the law enforcement profession.
Deputy Muller is a 1996 graduate of the Danbury High School. Deputy Muller earned his Ohio Peace Officer Training certificate in 2005. He previously worked with the Kelley’s Island Police Department and was a reserve officer with the Port Clinton Police Department from July of 2005 to August of 2006.
Deputy Muller was hired by the Ottawa County Sheriffs Office on August 29, 2006 as a corrections deputy where he later received his Basic Corrections certificate. He has remained in that position since that appointment.
Deputy Muller will soon begin his training with an experienced patrol deputy before assuming his new duties.
Sheriff Bratton, Chief Deputy Riedmaier and Captain Levorchick recognize Deputy Muller as a professional and dedicated deputy. We are certain he will excel in his new duties.
