Ottawa County Sheriffs Office
Underwater Recovery Team Locates Stolen Property
On Thursday, November 3, 2005, The Ottawa County Sheriffs Office Underwater Recovery Team assisted the Erie County Sheriffs Office in locating stolen property. Four guns and a large amount of jewelry had been stolen in recent burglaries in the city of Huron and Erie County. Arrests were made in those cases and investigators learned the stolen items were in a pond at the end of Kirk Road in Danbury Township.
Underwater Recovery Divers Rod Althaus, Joe Alix, Pat Heschel, Elix Ali and Ernie Washington volunteered their time to assist Erie County Sheriff Detectives in recovering this stolen property.
Below are photographs of divers recovering that stolen property.
