A warrant was issued today for the arrest of Jerry R. Moore, whose last known address is 2119 S. White Caps Lane, Marblehead, Ohio. Moore, age 52, is charged with Aggravated Robbery, a felony of the first degree, and five counts of Receiving Stolen Property, all felonies of the fifth degree.
According to reports of the Oak Harbor Police Department and the Danbury Township Police Department, a search warrant was executed Tuesday on a Danbury Township storage unit rented by Moore. Evidence recovered in that search, along with information received from other sources reportedly linked Moore to the armed robbery of a clerk at the Community IGA in Oak Harbor in the early morning hours of November 6. Police also recovered several credit cards and other property taken in at least two Danbury Township home invasions which took place earlier this year.
Officers indicate they have information that Moore has left this jurisdiction, and may be heading west to avoid prosecution. They warn that Moore may be armed and should be considered extremely dangerous. The Ottawa County Sheriffs Office received information that Jerry Moore was taken into custody by the police department in Lakewood, Colorado. Preliminary information from Lakewood Police indicates Moore was arrested after committing another robbery in that city which resulted in a woman being injured. Further information will be posted as it becomes available.
