Ottawa County Deputies Receive Awards

    On Saturday, February 14, 2009, deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriffs Office Marine Patrol and Underwater Response Team were recognized for their efforts after the aircraft crash in September 2007 off Kelley's Island. Deputies were recipients of the Dr. Frank Foss EMS Award presented to emergency personnel for their performance on difficult or unusual runs. These awards were presented at the 'Partners for Life' Conference sponsored by St. Vincent's, University of Toledo and St. Rita's Life Flight held each year at the Maumee Bay State Park.
