The event, which involves 3,000 riders, is in Ottawa County on June 22 and June 23. Deputy Regal, dressed in his normal uniform shirt, duty belt and protective vest, carried a portable radio and first aid kit to assist bike riders if needed. On Wednesday he rode with cyclists in the eastern end of Ottawa County and on Thursday he will ride with them in the western end of the county. On Friday he will help escort them out of Ottawa County near Elmore.
