2005 Deputy of the Year
On May 11, 2005 the Port Clinton Kiwanis honored Ottawa County Sheriffs Deputy Rhonda St.Clair at their yearly awards luncheon. Deputy St.Clair had been selected by her co-workers for her knowledge, dedication and professionalism in the performance of her duties.
Deputy St.Clair is Sheriff Bratton's Director of Administration. Some of her many duties include responsibility for all office records, including crime and accident reports, providing reports for insurance companies and other agencies, background checks and issuance of Concealed Carry permits and the WebCheck program. She also assists Sheriff Bratton, Chief Deputy Riedmaier and Captain Levorchick with their daily administrative duties.
Deputy St.Clair has been employed at the Sheriffs Office since 1995, having previously served in the Communications and Corrections Divisions where she held the rank of corporal.
In a letter to Deputy St.Clair, Sheriff Bratton wrote; 'I would like to take a moment to personally congratulate you on being selected as “Deputy of the Year 2005.” The staff cast their votes and chose you as the recipient of this honor that is awarded every year. Your commitment and dedication to your duties at the Sheriff’s Office are greatly appreciated. You have a true ability to perform the various tasks that are requested of you by the Administration – not only your assigned duties but many projects that you pick up and carry for the office, making the teamwork concept a reality.'
As part of the ceremony Deputy St.Clair received an award from the Kiwanis and her name will be added to a plaque that is on display of the Sheriffs Office lobby. In addition she received a gold watch with the Sheriffs logo and a pen set for her desk.
